Our Program areas and Activities

Addressing discrimination and Gender based Violence
We work to empower women vendors to address the challenges they face including discrimination and gender-based violence in market and public places.

We organize dialogues with authorities aimed at highlighting out the challenges women vendors face and propose solutions. In this, we promote mechanisms for conflict resolution and peaceful co-existence. We organize activities like roundtables, meetings and mediation sessions to enable women vendors to interface with authorities.

We conduct media campaigns to raise awareness on the rights of Women Vendors. We work with local governments to be supportive and ensure a safe environment for women vendors who usually faces challenges like destruction of property, confiscation of their goods and street gang battery.
We organize and bring all women vendors together and strengthen their union to increase their bargaining powers with the Government/municipal and local government authorities. We advocate for the rights of women vendors. We create opportunities for women vendors to network.

We provide our members with training, technical and financial resources that enable women vendors conduct business.
